CAREERSUBM Process Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Under Bump Metallization (UBM)
  • Act as process owner and expert on developing back end of line processes, specifically UBM
  • Utilize structured problem-solving tools to understand issues observed during manufacturing
  • Implement proper corrective action and preventative action plans
  • Create FMEA based on manufacturing issues
  • Update FMEA based on new failure mode learnings
  • Develop procedures and specifications for tool and process operations
  • Provide training to shift team and back-up engineers
  • Engage with suppliers and attend technical reviews
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner
  • Support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
  • Track day-to-day lot movements
  • Maintain accurate documentation

Qualifications

  • US citizenship
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field of study
  • 3 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience as a Process Engineer or related occupation
  • 3 years of engineering experience in:
    • Monitoring and troubleshooting tool issues and creating recovery specs of etch tools
    • SPC and chart creation
    • 5-WHY, 8-D or similar investigation methodologies
    • Gap identification
    • Creation and updates of FMEA
    • JMP for data analysis and generating DOE reports
  • Plasma properties knowledge

Skills

  • Proven ability to work solo and in a team dynamic

Physical Requirements

Must be able to:

  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Walk long distances
  • Wear cleanroom attire, including protective eye gear and face mask
